Michael H. Sell, a manager within the Investment Services Group, is primarily responsible for the purchasing and disposition of assets on behalf of clients; financial feasibility analysis of proposed transactions for clients; loan and funding structure analysis; development analysis; and market research. Prior to joining Grant Street Associates, Mr. Sell spent the majority of his professional career with PNC Capital Markets, LLC, as a Real Estate Investment Banking Analyst. His skill set from this position includes debt structuring; confidential offering memorandum preparation; leasing/tenant-mix analysis for proposed developments; database development for market deal tracking; and securitization market transactions. Mr. Sell also holds the Series 7 and Series 63 financial licenses with Cypress Alts LLC, a non-affiliated broker/dealer (Member – FINRA) allowing him to engage in the sale of private placement securities. Within his tenure at Grant Street Associates, Mr. Sell has represented such notable clients as the PNC Financial Services Corporation for the sale of mortgage notes, the National City Corporation, Uniforms USA, Professional Graphic Communications, Applegate Snayd Industries, and PersonaOne Marketing, to name a few. His quantitative financial background, coupled with his underwriting expertise, allows him to work on a wide variety of investment sale projects. Currently, Mr. Sell is an active participant in the following organizations: the Real Estate Committee of the South Side Local Development Company (SSLDC); the Animal Rescue League; the Young Real Estate Professionals of Pittsburgh; and the Apartment Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh. He is a candidate for Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation, and he also writes expert articles featured in the Western PA section of the Mid-Atlantic Real Estate Journal. Mr. Sell earned a BA degree in Finance from Pennsylvania State University, with a minor in Engineering Entrepreneurship. While studying under this rigorous program, he was a member of the Penn State Investment Association, from freshman to junior year, acting as Lead Trader and Portfolio Investment Manager. In addition to this, Mr. Sell competed athletically for the Division One rugby team, where he led the team in scoring for three years.
