I'm a 3rd year science and history student at Macquarie University. My interests include plant biology, particularly including single-celled plants such as microalgae, ecology, evolution, and 20th century history. Does this sound like an unusual mix? Well, I'm of the opinion that no educated person, especially one who intends to become an academic, can get away with not knowing how the modern world came about. Similarly, a historian should not be ignorant as to how plants and non-human animals came to be as they are. History and science go well together!
