Joe Mullins Congressman

CEO and president of The Mullins Companies
He/Him · Florida

Congressman Joe Mullins has built a life defined by steady leadership, thoughtful risk-taking, and a commitment to community progress. He serves as CEO and president of The Mullins Companies, which includes Mullins Properties and Mullins Sports & Entertainment. What began as a small group of business efforts has grown into a diversified operation spanning real estate, sports, entertainment, and media. His work reflects a practical mindset focused on long-term value rather than short-term gains. Raised in Evans, Georgia, Joe developed an early sense of discipline and responsibility. In high school, he balanced academics with athletics, theater, and leadership programs such as FBLA, Jr. Achievement, and 4H. These experiences helped him understand teamwork, communication, and accountability, skills that would later guide his professional and public life. Joe earned a BBA in Business Management from the University of Georgia and later attended UCLA, where he studied under respected Hollywood agent Henry Holmes. Exposure to both structured business training and the creative entertainment industry broadened his perspective. Early in his career, he entered the sports and entertainment field, representing athletes and entertainers who later achieved national recognition and induction into the NFL and boxing Hall of Fame. He also interned with the Anthony Robbins companies, gaining insight into leadership development and personal growth. Over time, Joe expanded into entrepreneurship across multiple sectors. His ventures grew to include restaurants, franchise operations, construction projects, and real estate investments across the Southeast. His real estate division eventually expanded to more than 800 multifamily units and several commercial properties. During periods of uncertainty, including the COVID-19 storm, Joe guided his teams through recovery, restoring occupancy levels and operational stability. Joe’s business approach is hands-on and solution-driven. He often acquires distressed properties, invests in improvements, and works to transform them into assets that support local economies. Partnerships and redevelopment efforts have been key to expanding The Mullins Companies. His sports and entertainment division has also secured major corporate clients and sponsorships connected to college playoffs and national championship games. Public service became an extension of Joe’s commitment to community. Joe Mullins, Flagler, served as Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners, where he focused on broadband expansion, mental health funding, and disaster recovery collaboration with state and federal partners. He also served as Vice Chair on the National Association of Counties Broadband Committee, helping advance rural connectivity and infrastructure. The media has provided another platform for outreach. Joe hosts the radio program “Live, Work, Shop, Play in Florida,” airing on Salem Media radio and online platforms, reaching millions of listeners across Florida and Georgia. Philanthropy remains central as well. Through Mullins Charities, he has helped raise more than $10 million for organizations such as St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Boys & Girls Club, and the Salvation Army. Joe Mullins of Augusta has also supported local efforts like “Shop with a Doc.” With over fourteen years sober, Joe actively supports opioid addiction recovery initiatives and serves on multiple task forces. Today, Congressman Joe Mullins continues to balance business leadership, public service, media, and philanthropy with a clear focus on stability, service, and community impact.
