Paloma
Writer, Photographer or Painter....? Paloma Concierta is a visual philosopher and writer of words that seek meaning in the smallest of things. Her reflections are concerned with the nature of time, the mortality of beauty, the viscosity of space and the sublime inherent in the under-observed. Her writing fluctuates somewhere between poetry and philosophy and lyrically wrestles with the evolution of her own visual lexicon: the Wordless nature of image versus the Literal nature of art. In our mortality we are always unbecoming and becoming. It is a challenge to see love and meaning behind and despite the difficult and uncomfortable. What does it mean to be human and to feel; to dare to find pleasure and meaning out of the confusion that is our own life? These are questions that she also asks in her book ' The Japan Diaries' a book of absolute longing, solitude and textual silence...where freedom is born amongst the silence of misunderstood road signs. She currently lives in Adelaide with her 3 children and is busy editing the 'Japan Diaries', amongst other things.
